Bath Sachets

Our bath sachets are blended from food-grade and, where possible, organic herbs for the finest quality and purest scents and steeped essences possible. Each individual bath is hand-wrapped in 100% cotton cheesecloth and labelled with its history, several suggestions for its use, and its ingredients. Our baths are all made in a government-inspected kitchen for your safety and security.

The best way to use our bath sachets is to take a little extra time before your bath and boil about a litre of water. Pour the boiling water into a non-metallic container and drop in the sachet (without opening it). Let it steep for about 10 minutes, draw your bath, and then pour the whole kit and kaboodle into the tub.Climb in and soak for at least ten minutes, using the sachet bag to rub any areas of rough or dry skin on your knees, elbows, etc..

If you're in more of a hurry, however, you can simply pop the sachet right into your tub -- and some of our busiest customers actually open the sachet and re-tie it right over their shower heads, so they have a herbal shower! The sachets can be used more than once, but you must open the sachet and spread out the herbs between uses to avoid mildew -- and it's like reusing a tea bag, in that it's not as strong the second time around. A listing of ingredients for any of our bath products is available for those concerned with allergies or skin sensitivities.

Miss Spencer's Scandalous Bath
Anne (“Ninon”) de Lanclos was born in 1620 and lived an exciting and scandalous life as a French courtesan, epicurean, and confidante to such literate men as Moliere and Scarron. She was a celebrated beauty, whose body retained its youthful curves and whose skin remained moist and smooth throughout all of her eighty-five years. Her beauty secrets were many and varied, but the one she felt to be most important was her daily herbal bath. This herbal sachet recreates her exact recipe.
